Mission Statement

The cause of uniting and fostering strong bond of fellowship among Arthingtonians and friends residing in the U.S., education and healthcare of the children and the people of Arthington are the fundamental value and mission of ARDA. It is for that purpose ARDA was formed to forge the means to support this cause. We believe that education and healthcare form the basic foundation for hope and prosperity of the city of Arthington, Republic of Liberia. We pledge and dedicate ourselves to the fulfillment of this cause; and we call on all people of goodwill to join us to make this cause meaningful for the people of Arthington, and Liberia in particular.

Organization Purpose & Goals

We are a U.S. based nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing financial, material and professional expertises in support of the reconstruction and continue development of the City of Arthington, Liberia and its surrounding towns that were severely destroyed during the Liberian Civil War. We are committed to the task of helping to fund and manage community oriented programs that directly contributes to the redevelopment of the human and infrastructure resources of the City of Arthington. Example of programs includes education, healthcare, and other social programs.

In addition to the redevelopment of the City of Arthington, the association is also dedicated to strengthening relationships among Arthingtonians who find themselves in the Diaspora as a result of past and present Liberian events and conflicts. This is accomplished through celebration of special events with members such as birthdays, anniversaries, and bereavements.

This association is fully committed to cultural diversity and keenly devoted to the principles of tolerance, respect, dignity, and understanding. It is to this purpose we have created this forum (the association) for Arthingtonians both within and outside the borders of Liberia, residence and friends of Arthington to convene, cooperate, and exchange ideas for the furtherance of the association.

Above all, we are resolved to promoting empowerment of the people of Arthington through self-reliance. We are committed to transparency and accountability in all our undertakings
